Ford made a "Mustang" Shelby GT500 more powerful and easier

Branch Company Ford Special Vehicle Team (SVT) formally submitted the updated tuning modifications coupe and cabriolet 2011 model year Mustang - Shelby GT500.

Compared with the same predecessor, the car was a lighter engine, the additional elements which improve the cooling of brake mechanisms, and other pedals.

Novelty is equipped with an aluminum Eight-cylinder petrol engine of 5.4 liters and power 550 horsepower, 10 horsepower more than its predecessor. This motor at 46.2 pounds lighter than previous unit, which allowed engineers to achieve a better balance of power to weight and reduce fuel consumption.

According to the company's Ford, the new "charged" Mustang in the city consumes 15.6 liters of gasoline per hundred kilometers (almost a liter less than in the past), and on the track - 10.2 liters (four tenths of a liter less).

For the coupe and convertible Shelby GT500 and the developers have prepared a special sports package called SVT Performance. It includes installation of 19-inch alloy wheels on the front axle and 20-inches on the rear tires with Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperCar G, larger drive gear ratio and a more rigid spring.
At Ford argued that a car with this package is 2.3-mile test track for three seconds faster than usual Shelby GT500.

In the U.S. sales of the new coupe and convertible Shelby GT500 to begin in late spring of this year. Prices for the car with a stationary roof will begin from 49 thousand 495 dollars.
