Fresh crash test results for four new models EuroNCAP tests of Honda CR-Z, Suzuki Swift, Hyundai and Citroen C4 ix35

Of four completely new models that are not even on the market now EuroNCAP crash tests were made. Honda CR-Z, the new generation of Suzuki Swift and the Citroën C4 and the Hyundai ix35 had to show how confident they are in an accident.

Hybrid vehicles can be safely
All four vehicles received the highest rating of five stars. What many may occur boring, glad the EuroNCAP Professionals: The consistently good results show that producers have adapted well to the beginning of 2010 modified test procedure. The Honda CR-Z proves that even benzinelektrische hybrid cars can be safe. In the protection of pedestrians in a collision of the CR-Z achieved similarly high scores, like all recent Honda models. The electric cars coming soon on the market wants to test EuroNCAP. The first results should there be early 2011.

ESP in almost all series
In three of the vehicles tested in all models is ESP series. When Citroën C4 ESP is available in some countries at the base facilities as an extra. Nevertheless, the car receives a full five stars, because far more ESP versions will be sold as variants without the system. As of 2012, already have all new models launched ESP, and 2014 is the security system at all compulsory for all cars. As one of the four vehicles tested, the Citroën C4 now received a poor rating in rear impact. Therefore, the C4 has a single car Tempobegrenzer one that can be adjusted by the driver.

Soon "comes EuroNCAP Advanced"
Under the heading "EuroNCAP Advanced" there should be more comprehensive security assessments from October 2010 to consider the newer driver assistance systems. First results will be announced at the Paris Motor Show (2 to 17 October 2010).
