New common-rail engine for the Skoda Superb

For the Skoda Superb is now starting a new two-liter TDI engine with common rail technology. The 140-horsepower engine replaced in the sedan and wagon so far with the same engine performance offered pump-injector diesel.
Thus the Superb is now fulfilled with the second highest diesel engine, the Euro-5 standard. With the modern assembly reduces the emissions from 155 to 143 grams of CO2 per kilometer. The average consumption drops from 5.9 to 5.4 liters per 100 kilometers.
For the 2.0 TDI is a six-speed manual transmission and have a six-speed dual clutch gearbox (DSG) to choose from. Prices remain unchanged. The Superb 2.0 TDI sedan starts at 26,150 euros, the Superb Combi 2.0 TDI at 26,850 euros
