From Cadillac decided to first change in the price of the next convertible, which unlike its predecessors, will be much cheaper.

It will make the platform Alpha, which is used to model 2013 compact sedan, ATS, and the next-generation model CTS, reported magazine Car and Driver. From there, explaining that the new convertible will not be just ATS homeless.

Rather, this model will be positioned between the ATS and CTS. It will have its own design that will distinguish it from other models of the company.

According to people in the Cadillac, this model will be in the segment of the Audi A5 convertible. The roof will be soft, bendable, as is the case with convertibles of Audi, and Mercedes-Benz E-class. In the BMW 3-series, Lexus IS and Infiniti G37, folding top is firm. The soft top will help to lower weight in the new convertible Cadillac, but for a lower price.
