British police go for electric cars - Mitsubishi Miev

Admit, it is not a Batmobile. Indeed, it is not even a General Lee. Actually, not even a Smart. Yet, the British police decided to ride around in the Mitsubishi MiEV. A small car that runs on an electric motor and has a top speed of about 140 kilometer per hour. Criminals get away, but the environment is spared!

To be fair, the streets are clean of the MiEV. Literally, because criminals riding hard behind him will not be in the Mitsubishi Electric. But that is not why the police of Birmingham has purchased the small carts. Because they are not used to chase the fleeing robbers and drug dealers to driving skills.

The car goes to local police officers. They can use the car nice and environmentally conscious touring the area to monitor. Or go to appointments. The police is a signal that reducing CO2 emissions has become a must, even for the police. But we can laugh at the British for their MiEV, but how seriously can you Dutch officers on the bike or a scooter take? Exactly
