The prototype of a plastic wheels for passenger cars presents the Fraunhofer Institute for Structural Durability at the Composites Europe trade fair (September 14 to 16) in Essen.
Compared with conventional aluminum wheels supposed to be a fiber-reinforced composite wheel produced significantly lighter and more stable. The researchers are now looking for a partner in the industry for mass production.
