Pontiac Bonneville Special Concept Car - 1954

Arvey Earl renowned designer at General Motors was inspired by a trip to the Bonneville salt flats to create this car. He wanted to capture the essence of Bonneville racers and show the public that Pontiac was the leader in its industry.

Conceived as a response to the Chevrolet Corvette, Bonneville Special expresses the definition of high speed. Like all cars of this era, one finds the style "Jet Age": air bubble plexiglass door butterfly glass cockpit and a kit that looks like a jet turbine in the back.
