Superbus: Dutch Super Bus 800 horsepower video

A group of Dutch students has given rise to a unique prototype named Superbus. As the name suggests, it is a super-power bus 800 horsepower.

Transport students at a university in the Netherlands gave rise to a bold project, which aimed to develop an electrical bus 800 horsepower. The figure looks as impressive as appearance. The project and have contributed Wubbo Ockels, a former Dutch astronaut, and Antonia Terzi, aerodynamic engineer and specialist in a BMW Formula One team Williams.

The bus is powered by several electric motors whose output totals 800 horsepower. Thanks to resources stored in lithium-polymer batteries, super-bus, 15 meters long, built on a platform of carbon fiber, can carry safely a total of 23 persons. Even so, it stops at the maximum speed 250 km / h. For those who worry their autonomy, Superbus ensure the running of over 210 miles on the energy stored in a single battery.

The bus comes with 16 Dutch students opening vertical doors, eight on each side, and chairs placed in front of the storage space.
